Brief Description
Are you wanting to start your career in the Automotive Industry? Are you hands-on and passionate about Vehicles? Vehicle Bodycare Centre is looking for a Vehicle Panel Apprentice to join their expert team!
Vacancy Detail
Assist qualified Panel Technicians with vehicle body repairs.
Learn how to repair and replace damaged vehicle panels.
Remove, refit, and align body panels and components.
Prepare vehicles for repair and painting.
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialist workshop equipment safely.
Follow manufacturer repair methods and workshop procedures.
Carry out basic welding and metal repair techniques under supervision.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
Work towards achieving the qualifications associated with the apprenticeship programme.
A certain amount of administration and customer interaction is also required:
• Keeping a record of work carried out and time taken
• Liaising with the customer or insurance company
• Providing quotations and estimations
As part of the service a Bodyshop offers, you may also carry out valeting, to ensure the vehicles look as good as new.
• Wash down the outside of the car to remove dirt and mud
• Polish the windows, wheels, door handles, and mirrors
Qualifications Required
To be a successful Paint technician the is no previous automotive qualifications needed but the ideal candidate will have GCSE’s 9 to 4 (A-C) or equivalent in Maths and English
Personal Qualities
You must have a strong passion for the industry and in your own personal development as Vehicle Bodycare Centre will help support you, with further training opportunities available to be a successful Paint technician
Skills Required
Please be aware that you would be using specialist equipment like spray guns along with various masks and breathing apparatus, it is important that Paint technicians always use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety procedures for using hazardous material
