Vacancy Detail
We are offering a hands-on apprenticeship opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our busy fleet workshop team. This role provides the chance to develop the skills and knowledge required to become a fully qualified Light Vehicle Technician, working across a diverse fleet that includes emergency ambulances, vans, and passenger cars.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist qualified technicians with routine servicing, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs.
• Learn to inspect, maintain, and repair a wide variety of vehicles, including frontline ambulances, light commercial vans, and passenger cars.
• Gain experience with modern diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Maintain accurate service and repair records.
• Support with workshop cleanliness, organisation, and tool control.
• Comply with all health & safety regulations and company procedures.
What You Will Learn:
• Servicing schedules and procedures for different vehicle types
• Diagnosis and repair of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Use of specialist diagnostic and repair equipment
• Vehicle safety standards, including those specific to emergency service vehicles
Qualifications Required
To be a successful Light Vehicle Technician there is no previous automotive qualifications needed but the ideal candidate will have GCSE’s 9 to 4 (A-C) or equivalent in Maths and English and Science preferred
