Vacancy Detail

In January 2023, Rivus was awarded the prestigious Fleet Repair and Maintenance contract for the Metropolitan Police Service. We are experts in critical fleet management, and there is no fleet more critical than the Met.

With over 43,000 officers and staff, the Met is the UK's largest police service. They have over 5,200 fleet assets (including marine vessels and pedal cycles) on the road and river in Greater London, travelling 52 million miles each year. A Met Police vehicle is under significantly more stress and strain than the average vehicle on the roads of London, and requires specialist fleet expertise to keep it capable, responsive, and safe. We keep the Met fleet moving so that officers can focus on getting their job done and keeping London safe.

The role of a Light Vehicle Technician falls into three main responsibilities:
• Servicing – working to guidelines to ensure a vehicle is running at optimum performance.
