Join the UK’s largest repair group in this fantastic opportunity as a Panel Technician at our busy workshop.

As Panel Technician, we know there’s no better feeling than seeing a customer's vehicle at the front of the workshop, waiting for them to collect it – it is what our business is built on.

• Assessing a vehicle to establish the extent of damage
• Based on the initial assessment, deciding whether to repair or replace bodywork
• Removing and refitting damaged panels
• Repairing damaged bodywork using traditional dolly and hammer or more modern techniques
• Repairing small dents, holes, or corroded areas using a compound filler

A certain amount of administration and customer interaction is also required:
• Keeping a record of work carried out and time taken
• Liaising with the customer or insurance company
• Providing quotations and estimations

Qualifications Required

No previous automotive qualifications are needed but the ideal candidate will have GCSE’s 9 to 3 (A-D) or equivalent in Maths and English

You must have a strong passion for the industry and in your own personal development as Redde Northgate will help support you, with further training opportunities available to be a successful Panel technician

Skills Required

The job involves numerous activities and technicians will need to be comfortable with a wide range of vehicles.

As a technician, you will often be working as part of a team, so good communication and being able to follow instructions would be good skills to have.

Future Prospects

In addition to the salary: • You will be provided with the use of starter tooling kits on joining the company (must remain on site) • Eligible for the technical apprentice award scheme based on performance entry gates
