Brief Description
This apprenticeship is the Level 3 Vehicle Damage Panel Technician standard programme with Royal Mail at their depot in North London, NW5 3RR. The right candidate will work alongside Royal Mail’s qualified Technicians to receive extensive training in maintaining HGVs.
Vacancy Detail
Royal Mail repair the bodywork of approximately 45,000 light commercial vehicles a year, across 110 locations. They rely on a crew of vehicle body repair technicians to handle everything from changing a lamp unit to repairing extensive body damage whilst keeping up with rapidly changing vehicle technology including electric vehicles.
Over three years, Royal Mail's Apprentice Vehicle Damage Repair Technicians learn through on-the-job training and classroom learning - They take individuals with a flair for mechanics and engineering, and turn them into automotive experts.
• Three-year programme, starting January 2024
• Starting salary of £17,272, rising each year of the programme
• Training undertaken throughout the programme at Remit's training academy in Derby (travel and accommodation included)

Three GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths, English and Science, at grade 4/C or higher required.
