IT Support Technician Apprenticeship - Level 3
£9,750 - £17,550 p.a.
Stoke-on-Trent - Full UK Driving Licence Required

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide onsite 1st/2nd Line Support liaising with school staff
• Offer 1st Line Remote, Phone & Email support when offsite utilising remote support tools and assessing priority accordingly
• Escalate issues to 3rd Line Support and Management where necessary
• Install and update operating systems on workstations and mobile devices, including Chromebooks, iPads, tablets, etc.
• Software installation and updates – Windows, iOS, Android, Chrome
• Troubleshoot software/ Hardware issues
• Conduct general hardware maintenance, including necessary upgrades and simple repairs
• Log hardware faults with external agencies and actively monitor them until their successful resolution
• Move and set up ICT equipment around the site where appropriate
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving network infrastructure issues, in-house, or with outside agencies when necessary

Qualifications Required

GCSEs in Maths and English
Full UK Driving Licence

Skills Required

• Excellent communication skills including the ability to liaise with technical colleagues and none technical customers effectively
• Ability to manage customer expectations with a proven track record of delivering customer service and satisfaction.
• Time management includes scheduling of meetings, prioritising workload and delivering none negotiables on time
• Basic understanding of hardware, software, and operating systems
