Vacancy Detail
Orange Clay is a brand new E-commerce start-up with no existing employees. The business has its own platform that has been built from scratch. The e-commerce platform has lots of potential to expand into something amazing, as a result, this creates exciting job opportunities for a wide range of people. The sole focus of the business over the next 12 months is to improve and develop the system, grow sales and expand the workforce.
Your skills are required in tasks to optimize system and product data. Your main duties are summarised below:
- Populate the product catalogue
- Format product text files for reading by a program
- Collate and format data in Word/Excel
- Complete forms
- Produce basic SEO research
- Compile data as necessary
- Other duties as required
Catalogue Data:
- Generate and cross reference catalogue numbers
- Enter product data into the catalogue
- Sort product images into directories
- Enter information about images into a data structure
Database:
- Enter data into database
- Manage and update supplier database
Compiling and Reporting - SEO:
- Produce keyword lists in Excel
- Compile competitor information from internet search results
System/Testing:
- Test and complete error/success reports (forms) for aspects of the system
- Test CMS can accurately record, display, retrieve, update and delete data
- Update system schematics in Excel
Updating Scripts:
- Format data for scripts in Excel/Word
- Format product information in text files for reading by programme
- Entering data onto scripts
This opportunity includes 5 weeks of pre-employment training allowing you to learn the skills you will need to identify your future talent and unlock your potential within the workplace. Following on from this you will then complete 3 weeks of work experience to showcase your talents and what you have learned from the course, get more familiar with the people in the company and the role, after which you will be offered a GUARANTEED INTERVIEW for a job role. During the 5 weeks of pre-employment training, you will be working towards a qualification in Customer Service along with improving your employability prospects, maths, English & digital skills, all of which are vital within any workplace and will help you feel well prepared for your work experience and the GUARANTEED INTERVIEW. Whilst on placement, Orange Clay is offering to help cover any travel and lunch costs during your 3 weeks with them.
Qualifications Required
No required qualifications as the programme will support with all training.
Remit Training will provide you with a dedicated Trainer to support you through the 5-week pre-employment training then a Placement Coach to support you through your work experience.

Once the training is completed, trainees will have a GUARANTEED INTERVIEW with the employer and be considered for full-time/part-time employment.
Other Information
The 5-week pre-employment training will be delivered online in a group with other applicants. The hours for the training are Monday ? Friday 9:30AM to 4:00PM. The work experience may have varying hours depending on business demand. All information will be provided during your Induction on your first day.
