Trainee Computer Refurbishing Support Technician

"Every Child Online" receives hundreds of donated Laptops and PCs from UK businesses and the public. We require Support Technicians to work alongside our professional IT sponsors, to refurbish these devices ready for donation to schools. Training will be provided for all aspects of work, tasks include:
? Logging device serial numbers onto an excel spreadsheet
? Removing and wiping hard drives using industry-standard software
? Installing Windows software into each device
? Cleaning computers and laptops, removing old stickers and marks
? Testing and cleaning computer monitors
? Sorting jumbled cables and adding them to our stock of data and power cables
? Blowing out dust in computers and keyboards using a small handheld blowing device
? Carrying and lifting devices from point to point during the refurbishment process

These vacancies are for 19-24 year old candidates only. This opportunity includes 5 weeks of pre-employment training allowing you to learn the skills you will need to identify your future talent and unlock your potential within the workplace. Following on from this you will then complete 3 weeks of work experience to showcase your talents and what you have learned from the course, get more familiar with the people in the company and the role, after which you will be offered a GUARANTEED INTERVIEW for a job role. During the 5 weeks of pre-employment training, you will be working towards a qualification in Customer Service along with improving your employability prospects, maths, English & digital skills, all of which are vital within any workplace and will help you feel well prepared for your work experience and the GUARANTEED INTERVIEW.
