Brief Description
Remit are recruiting on behalf of Denis Eagle (Merthyr Tydfil) who are searching for talented people to join their team as a Heavy Vehicle Service Technician Apprentice. Giving you the opportunity to become the best skilled Commercial Service Technician for the future enabling you to deal with the complex technology for the future vehicles.

TYPICAL DAY
You will be working on Large Goods Vehicles, such as Vans & lorries. Duties will include carrying out servicing, fault finding, repair of vehicles, operating specialist equipment and all other associated tasks.
Training is not all hands on, we believe that learning to use a computer and understanding the theory behind the role is as important as using a spanner.
SKILLS YOU WILL LEARN
On the job training will be carried out in the employer?s workshop alongside your workplace mentor.
Off the job training will be typically day release at Cardiff & Vale College.
You will build portfolios to record training, experience and skills gained throughout your apprenticeship. You will be expected to self-study and with the combination of on the job and off the job training, you will be working towards L2 Foundation Apprenticeship Framework for Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, including Essential Skills Wales @ L2 in Application of Number, Communication and Digital Literacy.
Dennis Eagle have been in business since 1907 and is Britain's Market Leader in the manufacture of refuse collection vehicle. Their famous 'DENNIS' name is seen on the front of their cabs across UK Streets.

Qualifications Required
C's in Maths & English GCSE or equivalent Essential Skills Wales Qualifications @ L2 in Application of Number, Communication and Digital Literacy

Willing to able to travel to college ( Cardiff & Vale) and to Dennis Eagle site in Merthyr Tydfil.
Willing to be able to complete work in personal time
Interested in working in an Engineering Environment
