Telematics Technician Apprentice

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our esteemed client TDS Ultra; who create, build and understand the connections between their suppliers, vehicles and drivers. They are looking to expand the team again by bringing in an enthusiastic, motivated self-starter as a Service Engineer Apprentice

Roles & Responsibilities;

? Gain a better understanding of the telematics equipment supplied by TDS
? Assist with the preparation and activation of telematics equipment
? Liaise with couriers to ensure equipment is delivered on time
? Gain a good understanding of the equipment needed for different makes and models of vehicles
? Develop the ability to carry out 1st line support for equipment faults, and carrying out updates on equipment as required
? Gain a better understanding of different telematics software to ensure that the equipment settings are configured correctly
? Carrying out various checks to ensure that telematics equipment is working correctly ? Recording trips, fuel usage etc
? Working in conjunction with the Service Manager to sure that the correct equipment is received at the correct time to fulfil orders
? Placing orders with various suppliers as directed by the Service Manager & Keeping up to date with evolving technology
? Responsible for equipment required for service calls, alongside liaising with service engineers and service providers
? Making power looms as required
? Keeping the stock room tidy and clean and ensuring a weekly stock take
