Trainee Construction Site Operative

As part of the programme you will complete a Level 1 Certificate of Introduction to Construction including Health and Safety. This will equip you with the relevant knowledge, skills and resources in order to guide you through the process of securing employment in the Construction sector. Included in the training you will work towards and be invited to sit the exam for the CITB Health, Safety and Environment Test. This will give you access to your Green CSCS card. Your green CSCS card will allow you access to site and put you at the front of the queue with employers looking to take on new labour.

After completing your pre-employment training you will have the opportunity to gain real on-the-job experience which will help you gain an opportunity to secure a full-time job/apprenticeship.

This opportunity includes 5 weeks of pre-employment training allowing you to learn the skills you will need to identify your future talent and unlock your potential within the workplace. Following on from this you will then complete 3 weeks of work experience on a live site to showcase your talents and what you have learnt from the course, get more familiar with the people in the company and the role, after which you will be offered a GUARANTEED INTERVIEW for a job role. During the 5 weeks of pre-employment training, you will be working towards an industry recognised qualification in construction along with improving your employability prospects, maths, English & digital skills; all of which are vital within any workplace and will help you feel well prepared for your work experience and the GUARANTEED INTERVIEW.
