The role of a Light Vehicle Technician falls into three main responsibilities:

? Servicing ? working to guidelines to ensure a vehicle is running at optimum performance.
? Maintenance ? replacing parts that have wear and tear before they fail.
? Repair ? diagnosing the reason for vehicle failure and fixing the problem.
The techniques and daily responsibilities you will learn will include:
? Using diagnostic, mechanical and electrical measuring equipment to investigate vehicle faults and identify their underlying causes.
? Inspecting and preparing customers vehicles ready for mechanical work.
? Removing, repairing or replacing components to the correct specification.
? Contributing to a safe working environment, by working within Health and Safety processes.
? Admin and customer service duties that include updating job cards and providing quotations and estimations

These vacancies are for 19-24 years old candidates only. This opportunity includes 5 weeks of pre-employment training allowing you to learn the skills you will need to identify your future talent and unlock your potential within the workplace. Following on from this you will then complete 3 weeks of work experience to showcase your talents and what you have learnt from the course, get more familiar with the people in the company and the role, after which you will be offered a GUARANTEED INTERVIEW for a job role. During the 5 weeks of pre-employment training, you will be working towards a qualification in Customer Service along with improving your employability prospects, maths, English & digital skills, all of which are vital within any workplace and will help you feel well prepared for your work experience and the GUARANTEED INTERVIEW.
