Vacancy Detail

Frontier Agriculture is the UK's leading crop production and grain marketing business, recognised for its close customer relationships with farmers and grain consumers and its successful management of the arable supply chain.

Duties:
Site and H&S inductions.
Lab training: specific training for the work station and tests being performed throughout harvest.
Equipment training and lab routine/processes.
Introduction to and weighbridge training
Harvest lab operations: testing grain samples for quality against Frontier and industry standards. This will include all cereals and oil seed rape.
Sampling grain on intake for lab processing/testing.
Recording results and completing reports.
Undertaking routine lab hygiene and calibration checks and tests.

Harvest is a period of very high activity so trainees will experience the full range of tests and calibrations required to maintain lab operations.
A high degree of attention to details and accuracy is required when interpreting results and recording.

These vacancies are for 19-24 years old candidates only. This opportunity includes 4 weeks of pre-employment training allowing you to learn the skills you will need to identify your future talent and unlock your potential within the workplace. Following on from this you will then complete 6 weeks of work experience to showcase your talents and what you have learnt from the course, get more familiar with the people in the company and the role, after which you will be offered a GUARANTEED INTERVIEW for a job role. During the 4 weeks of pre-employment training, you will be working towards a qualification in Customer Service along with improving your employability prospects, maths, English & digital skills, all of which are vital within any workplace and will help you feel well prepared for your work experience and the GUARANTEED INTERVIEW.
