Brief Description

Remit are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of James Hall Spar for a committed and enthusiastic individual to work within the SPAR store in Maryport CA15 6LW as part of their Butchery Apprenticeship Programmer. You will undertake an In-Store Butcher Apprenticeship at Level 2, which is 18 months duration.

Vacancy Detail

As an Apprentice with James Hall & Co. Ltd, you will gain hands on experience of being a Butcher, and learn the various craft and knife skills needed to become proficient in a first class butchery store.
You will learn all about different meats, cuts and joints, coupled with developing your understanding of food safety and relevant legislation.

You will be allocated an external Training Assessor who will visit you monthly to review your progress as well as being provided with a mentor in work who will support and train you.
Once you have completed your Apprenticeship you will have the valuable experience and qualifications to further your career in addition to having future learning opportunities.

Starting salary is ?8.36 per hour as an Apprentice. Future wage increase will take place at regular intervals.
You will need to be 18 and over for this role, have access to your own transport as some of the training will take place at other stores.

A good level of education ? GCSE standard

Future Prospects

When an Apprenticeship is completed you may be able to progress to the Level 3 Advanced Butchery Apprenticeship
