Working in the construction industry, gaining experience in house build maintenance and construction cleaning. Opportunities across Manchester, pick-up from home address or central location.
Vacancy Detail
This vacancy is for a Traineeship with work experience placement in the construction industry with Wharfedale Facilities Management. The traineeship is an 8 week programme where you will complete both virtual classroom learning and work experience placement with Wharfedale FM. The classroom learning will cover customer service, employability, maths, English and IT where relevant.
A Traineeship is to support young people aged between 19-24 to enter employment.
The work experience placement is for 3 weeks, (25 hours a week) and will conclude with a guaranteed interview or feedback session where you will be considered for the live roles available.
Examples of tasks that will be completed during the Traineeship work experience placement include:
End of build cleans, snagging, cladding cleans and de-taping to various construction projects including but not limited to; new build housing developments, multi storey apartment blocks, schools, shop extensions, warehouses, pubs and restaurants, vehicle showrooms, student accommodation, assisted living and care homes.
While on the traineeship work experience you will receive a weekly travel allowance to where appropriate.
Qualifications Required
No minimum level of qualifications are required for this traineeship, however, your qualifications if you do have any must be below level 4.
Personal Qualities
Ability to identify and complete needed tasks without direct supervision
Willingness to complete tasks to the highest standard ready for client inspection
Skills Required
? Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery used in cleaning
? Good knowledge of cleaning chemicals & proper storage
? Good communication skills & the ability to work as a team
? Excellent organisational skills are a must
Future Prospects
On completion of the work experience there will be an interview for live apprenticeships or job roles within the business for those who want to pursue a career in the construction sector.
