Warehouse Apprenticeship

Key Duties
? Sorting through received stock items
? Packing items into box quantities
? Booking stock onto Inventory Management System
? Accurate record-keeping and labelling of stock items
? Putting stock into allocated storage locations
? Picking & Packing correct stock for orders
? Moving stock by hand (up to 25Kg), pump truck and/or fork-lift
? Loading / Unloading vehicles (by hand and/or fork-lift)
? Uphold general warehouse cleanliness and operating standards
? Willing and able to help colleagues in other areas of responsibility in order to meet team deadlines
On-road parking / good bus & tram links
Starting off in the main warehouse, this role requires you to undertake physical work efficiently, whilst having an eye for detail and a focus on continual improvement.

Following a successful 1st Interview, candidates may be invited back for a second interview before a decision is made on whether the candidate is to be offered the apprenticeship.

We are offering a standard 35-hour per week contract, with working hours of 8.30am ? 4pm (Monday ? Friday) with regular optional overtime. However, flexibility is essential as there will be occasions where you will be required to work additional hours to meet extra demand and deliver our service levels.

Starting Earnings will be set at ?4.30 per hour and there may be additional financial reward opportunities linked to performance, which will be outlined during the apprenticeship.

Holiday entitlement is set to 20 days per year (in addition to England Bank Holidays).

At the start of the apprenticeship, you will be provided with a High-Visibility vest, gloves and the necessary tools to perform your duties. You will also be given an allowance to cover the cost of Protective Clothing that is required.
