Brief Description

Are you someone who has has a great understanding of IT, coupled with good communication skills? Well, Remit are recruiting on behalf of Premier EPOS for a fantastic Technical Support Apprentice opportunity.

Vacancy Detail

You will be responsible for giving support and solving technical issues over the phone, via email and physically when resolving hardware issues. The successful applicant will gain a high level of understanding of both software and hardware and will have constant, direct interaction from customers in a wide variety of industries.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
1. Provide client support and technical issue resolution via E-Mail, phone and other electronic medium.
2. Provide training to clients in the use of our system and applications.
3. Obtain a detailed understanding of the EPOS , Customer Management and Remote Connection Software?s used on a daily basis.
4. Identify and correct or advise, on operational issues in client computer systems.
6. Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
8. Self motivated, detail-oriented and organized.
9. Experience with hardware and software issues.
10.Proficient in Internet related applications such as E-Mail clients, FTP clients and Web Browsers.

Qualifications Required

GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent qualification)

Personal Qualities

The successful candidate will be good at communicating and working as part of a team.

Skills Required

Required Skills.
? Proficient in using the Microsoft office suite. (Primarily; Word and Excel)
? Good problem solving capabilities.
? Computer Literate.
? Works well as part of a team or independently.
? Good writing/typing skills.
? Good communication skills. (Both Verbal and Written)

Desired Skills.
? Knowledge of EPOS systems and how they work
? Knowledge of SQL management Studio and/or MySQL
? Proficient at using the Adobe Creative Suite
? Previous computer hardware experience (building their own PC or fixing PC?s)

Future Prospects

A full time position will offered to the apprentice after full completion of the apprenticeship if they demonstrate the right skills and attributes.
