Software Developer Apprentice

Looking to work within a fast paced environment in the heart of Manchester?

Our client are building a growing development team to work on large scale web based software solutions across multiple sectors and industries. This focused team are looking for back and front end developers who are able to take the initiative and work independently to deliver projects on time and to specification.

The successful Apprentice will be required to take ownership of all relevant aspects of the allocated project and work within a paired programming environment with another developer.

Front End Technical Duties

- Be involved in front-end web technology, such as HTML, CSS and Vanilla JS
- Tasks will allow you to understand JavaScript frameworks, including React, VueJs, JQuery and Version Control
- Be exposed to Style pre-processors, front end build tools, page speed optimization and SEO best practices.

Back End Technical Duties

- Learn and develop back-end web technologies such as PHP, Python, C# and NodeJS
- You'll also have the chance to learn OOP Technologies, Version Control and AWS applications
- You'll gain a working knowledge of SSL, web hosting platforms and domain registrars
- Gain a working knowledge of API integrations

Our client have other apprentices within the business and the successful Apprentice will become part of an Apprenticeship group progressing through learning and working together. You'll be mentored by a senior software developer and a manager.

As the Apprentice you'll shadow co-workers and then be given projects of your own which will contribute towards the overall design and build.
