Brief Description
Remit Group are recruiting on the behalf of our client; Vestey Food's a fourth generation family-owned food and farming business. Due to contentious expansion within their IT Department their looking to bring on a technically literate individual!
Vacancy Detail
This is an exciting opportunity has arisen to join a company that has been established for over 100 years to join our clients IT Team assisting users at their various sites.
As well as dealing with day-to-day requests from their users, our client has an array of projects planned to further enhance their systems. Vestey Foods use Microsoft systems throughout; knowledge of Microsoft Servers, Desktops and O365 are desirable. They will train the successful Apprentice to understand their systems and fill any gaps in your knowledge of Microsoft products.
Roles & Responsibilities
? Onsite and remote support to users (using TeamViewer where appropriate)
? IT inventory maintenance
? Documentation of processes, procedures and practices
? Installation of desktops, laptops, monitors, network cabling, printers, switches etc.
? Travelling to sites across the UK (and occasionally Europe), as required
This role will involve working from home and working from the companies Main Office in Petersfield at least once a week.
INDIT
Qualifications Required
GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent qualification)
Personal Qualities
? A helpful, approachable and ?can do? attitude
? Excellent communication skills
? A proactive approach
? The ability to multi-task
? A degree or certification in an IT related subject and the determination to update current knowledge
Skills Required
You will support our users both on-site and remotely both within the UK and internationally. Ideally you will have either knowledge and some experience of the following, however not all is beneficial:
? Microsoft Windows Servers (2008 R2 and above) and Desktops (Windows 10)
? AD
? GP
? O365
? RDP
Additionally, it would be advantageous if you have knowledge and understanding of:
? HP / Aruba switches and WAPs
? Azure Cloud
? Bitlocker
? VPNs
? MDM systems
? MS SQL Server
Future Prospects
As well as the chance to receive full on the job training throughout, by the end of the apprenticeship you?ll have gained nationally accredited qualifications as well as English & maths Functional Skills Level 2.
The company also aim to offer the apprentice a permanent role at the end of the training (subject to successfully completing course and objectives)
