Remit Group are recruiting on the behalf of our client; the esteemed RM Group, a leading supplier of technology and resources to the education sector, their Sales team are on the lookout for a group of ambitious and committed individuals to join them!

This is a fantastic opportunity to help a prospective IT Sales Representative Apprentice gain a varied and wide range of IT knowledge and business skills. The RM Group supplies technology and resources to the educational sector which include vast amounts of Technical Products and Services. They offer full training and the successful candidate will be well supported and coached to help achieve their full potential! Additional training will also come from some of the largest technology companies in the world.

Ideally, they're looking for individuals who have an interest in sales and marketing. IT interest & knowledge would be useful but not essential.

The role aims to encourage the successful candidate to take responsibility and own their position. The RM Group encourages a high amount of strong involvement in the business and they hope to retain all the successful candidates long term after completion of the Apprenticeship

The day to day responsibilities comprise of the following below:

- Learning how to identify target markets and opportunities which will create leads for the Apprentices' set of propositions
- Have the chance to accompany field sales staff on customer visits to understand their needs.
- You will have the opportunity to learn about inbound leads
- Additionally you will pro-actively call to make appointments where required
- You will be taught how to feedback to the Product Management and Marketing when trends are identified that are identified through calling
- You will also be given the opportunity to attend events to represent RM Education
- Eventually you will learn how to create new channels to marketing through strategic relationships
- You will be given the opportunity with a small number of situations, that will progress leads identified and successfully close them as orders.

Additionally you learn how to do the following below:

- Attend training to help conduct online demonstrations for a variety of The RM Groups products
- Have your say and contribute into discussions by other sales teams to offer expert opinion and guidance
- Have the time to gain in depth knowledge on their competitors in the market

Ideally A* - C/9-4 in maths and English or equivalent

Other Information

Critical to their future success are Network Support and Managed Services, Broadband and Online Safety services, Management Information Systems, Cloud platforms and support and Identity Management Services. Generating sales leads for these services requires a blend of Marketing and Sales led activities, with the sales element owned and delivered by teams of specialist prospectors. Candidates applying for this role will need to show a strong alignment to RM's core values: Customer success, high standards, respect for others, innovation and improvement, openness and enjoyment at work
You will be trained up to be a specialist in your product area, highly knowledgeable about the market for those products as well as the products themselves
