Remit Group are recruiting on the behalf of our client, a full service Digital Marketing agency dedicated to providing excellence! This is a quickly growing Business thats looking for a technically literate individual to join their team as an Apprentice!

The successful Apprentice, working as a Junior PHP Developer will assist a small close-knit development team that consists of Developers and Designers. As well as the chance to gain on the job working experience; the Apprentice will also be working towards a Level 3 Qualification in the IT, Software, Web and Telecoms Professionals . In addition the successful candidate will receive constant help and guidance throughout the programme with the chance to learn and develop a skill set to suit the long term prospects within this position.

Roles and Responsibilities;

Support and liaise closely with the Marketing team to ensure that all development is performed in line with the design and marketing strategies laid down for each individual client.
Have the chance to eventually be give autonomy over the development of customer facing websites and other custom tools
Expand your knowledge on everything from WordPress, PHP and a variety of other Web Development tools; including HTML, CSS and JavaScript just to name a few
Support the internal teams with the developing and modifying of WordPress websites
Aim to continuously improve development process and best practices
Put forward ideas for how the Business can use development tools to benefit their clients in new and inventive ways

INDIT

Qualifications Required

Your required to have at least 5 GSCEs at grades A*-C/9-4 including English, Maths and ICT (or the Functional Skills Level 2 equivalent).

Any creative or technology based A Levels or BTEC qualifications would be considered a bonus!

Personal Qualities

Good communication skills and the ability to work and collaborate as part of a team
Be well organised and prioritize projects according to needs
Able to work under pressure and handle multiple moving targets
Develop skill set with security standards in mind at all times.

Skills Required

If you have a basic introductory understanding into WordPress, PHP, HTML, MySQL or CCS or JavaScript these will be considered a bonus to our client
Be comfortable in finding solutions to development challenges on a regular basis
Have the ability to self-manage your time and workload
Eventually gain the confidence and knowledge to coach and mentor other junior developers
An understanding of Design software; such as the Adobe Suite would also be considered a bonus

Future Prospects

As well as the chance to receive full on the job training throughout, by the end of the Apprenticeship you?ll have gained nationally accredited qualifications as well as English & maths Functional Skills Level 2.

The Business are also offering a full, long term position of employment with them upon successful completion of the Level 3.
