Brief Description : Remit are recruiting for Alton Cars who have an exciting opportunity in their bodyshop, for an apprentice Vehicle paint technician. You will be mentored by their own fully qualified Senior Vehicle paint Technician in all the latest techniques.
Qualifications Required : Good levels of English, Maths and ICT
Vacancy Detail : Once the vehicle paint technicians have worked their magic repairing the vehicle, it will then be your job to restore the vehicles paint work back to its former glory.
• Preparation – stripping, sanding and masking
• Etching and priming areas to be treated
• Colour matching and mixing
• Paint application techniques including spray booth technology
• Buffing and polishing methods
• Paint defect corrections.

Working Week : mon to Fri
Salary : £156.00 Per Week

Personal Qualities : You will need to have a high level of attention to detail and working to a high standard as the first thing the customer will see when they pick their car up is the colour match and the quality of the paint finish
Skills Required : No skills required as full training will be given, just bring your enthusiasm and desire to learn
Future Prospects : To be a fully qualified Vehicle paint Technician.
Training to be Provided : An Apprenticeship is a work-based training programme, so as well as working and being trained in Perfect Paint’s bodyshop, you will also attend Remit’s Academy based near Pride Park in Derby, on a 5-day block release 4 times over the 36-monthsapprenticeship. You will also be assigned an Apprentice Development Coach who will visit you in the workplace, every 4-6 weeks, as part of our commitment to your development and to ensure you succeed.
• VRQ & VCQ level 2 certificates in Vehicle Paint
• Functional Skills in English, Maths & ICT (if required)
N.B All accommodation, food and travel costs are met by the Employer.
