Brief Description : Remit are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of British Car Auctions (BCA) for a business admin apprentice to join their transport and logistics team. The role is based at Thurleigh Airfield Business Park, Bedford, MK44 2YP
Qualifications Required : A minimum of 5 GCSEs Grade A – C, including English and Maths, or equivalent qualifications.
A drivers licence and own transport would be advantageous due to the location MK44 2YP
Vacancy Detail : You will learn all aspects of running a successful transport office - responsible for 130.+ trucks and in excess of 160 drivers.
The role would include basic administration functions such as:
Processing proof of delivery documents
Raising purchase order numbers.
Document Scanning and filing
Liaising with drivers and other departments regarding paperwork
Responding to customer queries via email or telephone in a timely manner
General administration and any other reasonable duties as required.
As well as:
Gain an understanding of fleet management
Acquire a working knowledge of legislation relating to the working time directive, driver management and training.
Compliance and driver infringements.
Positions Available : 1
Working Week : 40 hrs pw; Mon - Fri 08.30 - 17.00 - 30 mins lunch
Salary : £200.00 Per Week

Personal Qualities : An interest in transport / haulage and the motor industry would be desirable.
Skills Required : Proficiency in the use of Excel and Word.

A demonstrable ability to work as part of a team.

Training to be Provided : The role of an Administrator is an important one, as they ensure the proper flow of office procedures and support various departments while maintaining a positive and friendly attitude.
As an apprentice, you will receive mentoring in the workplace and training from Remit Group to help develop your skills and achieve your Level 2
On successful completion, you will receive:
Level 1 / Level 2 Functional Skills in English & Maths (if required)
Level 2 Business Administration Apprenticeship Framework.

Things to consider : The dress code is smart casual with BCA branded tops provided. There is a canteen on site and plenty of on-site parking. There is no public transport so the ability to get to and from site independently is essential.
