Remit are looking on behalf of our client Hero Health for a Software Development Apprentice
Qualifications Required : Five GCSE grades C - A* (4-9) or equivalent, including English and Maths
Vacancy Detail : As a Software Developer Apprentice at Hero Health, you’ll work on an agile team with other passionate, driven and talented young people. You will create innovative features for the Businesses products in an environment that fosters growth.
The successful Apprentice will be presented with an opportunity to take responsibility for their own work whilst being taught how to hone a wide range of skills in development and problem-solving.
A typical day:
An opportunity to design, develop and unit test applications in accordance with established standards
Get involved and participate in peer reviews of solution designs and related code
Aim to adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time
Work alongside and with departments on technical issues including software system design and maintenance
Help by liaising with other departments on product status’ and proposals

Working Week : Mon - Fri 9:00am - 6:00pm
Salary : £307.69 Per Week

Future Prospects : There is the potential to become permanent upon completion of the apprenticeship.
Training to be Provided : A Software Development Technician is typically w part of a team that builds simple software components for web, mobile or desktop applications, as part of larger software development projects. This apprenticeship will help you to interpret design requirements for discrete components of the project, typically implementing code, which other team members have developed, to produce the required component before testing that this component meets its intended functionality.On successful completion, apprentices can apply for entry onto the Register of IT Technicians.
Apprentices must achieve each of the Ofqual-regulated Knowledge Modules, as summarised below.Knowledge Module 1: Software Development Context and Methodologies (for level 3 Software Development Technician)Knowledge Module 2: Programming (for level 3 Software Development Technician)
Other Information : The successful candidate will learn:
-Various coding languages
-Version control practices using Git with Github
-Development pipelines using services such as Heroku and Travis CI
-The principles of test-driven development
-Working as part of an agile team
-Collaboration with design and sales teams
