Remit Group are recruiting on the behalf of our client; Advanced IT Services, they have a strong IT based direction and are again on the lookout for an IT Support Apprentice to work in a varied role within their Data/Telecom and Installation Departments!

Vacancy Detail

This is a fantastic expanding opportunity for any technically minded and computer literate individual to join a constantly expanding and welcoming team! The successful Apprentice will have the chance to get involved in Advanced IT's different departments in an Apprenticeship role that blends many aspects of IT and Technical Support.

Main Roles and Responsibilities:

Learn and help support with the provision of 1st Line Technical and Operational support to all of Advanced IT's external clients - including schools and commercial customers.
Assist in the execution of help-desk tasks and faults; learning how to ensure an adequate delivery of systems and problem resolution within agreed timescales.
Support with various IT tasks; which includes performing preventative and corrective maintenance of ICT equipment.
Learn how to perform and assist with computer updates and replacements as directed.
Have the chance to install and configure PC workstations and associated software packages as and when directed
Support other senior team members with provisions of technical support to both the company and the neighboring school
Learn to take responsibility for both the promoting and safeguarding of welfare for the children and young people within the school

Advanced IT will also have an additional site based within Derby; due to this the successful Apprentice may be required to visit this site with other members of the IT Support team when necessary.

Qualifications Required

You need to have at least 5 GCSE's grade A*-C or 9-4 including English, maths and ICT or the equivalent.

Skills Required

You'll need to have
A full UK driving license
A previous experience or knowledge of using computers, including an understanding of desktop operating systems and hardware
Demonstrability ability to help troubleshoot and resolve problems
Able to self-manage own workloads whilst being able to adapt to changing priorities

Future Prospects

For the ideal candidate, as well as the chance to achieve a nationally recognized Level 3 qualification, they'll also have the chance to work and receive support for Functional Skills Level 2 in English and maths alongside.

There is also the opportunity for progression within the business upon successful completion of the Level 3.
