Remit Group are recruiting on the behalf of our client Wilkin Chapman LLP; one of the largest law firms in Lincolnshire; an excellent opportunity has arisen for an IT Apprentice to join their IT Department in their Grimsby office

Vacancy Detail

This is a brilliant opportunity for any technical individual where the successful apprentice will get involved with providing a proactive and responsive help-desk and desk-side support service on key network systems, mobile devices and applications for all staff within the business. The Apprentice will also aim to maximize staff satisfaction with the overall level of IT support and training in the company.

The Apprentice's main role will include;

Aiming to provide internal help-desk services, via desk side and remote support, for resolution of software, hardware or network issues in line with internal service level agreements.
Attempt to undertake a range of administrative duties including word processing, mail merge, production and maintenance of excel spreadsheets, photocopying, filing, scanning and other similar administrative tasks as directed.Answering telephone enquiries and routine correspondence including emails.
Supporting users with the fleet of corporate mobile devices.
Setting up, moving and changing work stations.
Deal with the maintenance and configuration of Active Directory and other appropriate third-party applications.
Resolving IT tickets and updating the outcomes.
Maintaining a high level of confidentiality at all times.
Attempt to provide excellent customer service at all times.

Qualifications Required

You need to have at least 5 GCSE's grade A/C or 9/4 including English, maths and ICT or the equivalent

A proven ability to be able to work accurately and under pressure
An ability to show initiative and establish positive working relationships with colleagues
Excellent communication skills
Excellent organisation and administration skills
Keen attention to detail.
Understanding and adoption of the Firm?s values and behaviors.

Skills Required

A base understanding of the fundamentals in IT
Customer Service skills or an understanding of them is essential
Good Time management
Willingness to learn and develop
Being able to work to business customer deadlines

Future Prospects

As well as the chance to receive full on the job training throughout, by the end of the apprenticeship you?ll have gained nationally accredited qualifications as well as English & maths Functional Skills Level 2.

The company also aim to offer the apprentice a permanent role at the end of the training (subject to successfully completing course and objectives).
