Brief Description : Remit Group are recruiting on the behalf of our client; Atmos Technology Ltd; a trusted integrator of comprehensive ICT equipment. Due to their continued expansion, they're actively seeking a technical individual to join their IT Support and Services team

 

Qualifications Required : You'll need at least 5 GCSE's graded A/C or 9/4 including Maths, English and ICT
If you also possess a BTEC or A Level qualification in ICT, Web Design or a technical related subject this would be an additional bonus

You'll get involved with;

Logging any and all customer and employee support queries
Assist with diagnosing and the solving of hardware and software fault; then learning how to escalate issues as and when required.
Help with the installing and configuring of computer systems.
Learn how to analyse call logs to spot potential trends and underlying issues.
Assist with the installation and configuring of computer hardware, operating systems and other applications
Help with the monitoring and maintaining of various computer networks and systems.
Learn how to talk to staff or clients through a series of actions, either face to face or over the phone to help set up systems or resolve issues.
Have the chance to troubleshoot system and network problems through diagnosing, solving hardware or software faults.
Help by providing support; this will include the use of any procedural documentation and relevant reports
Support the roll-out of any new applications
Assist with base administration tasks; including the setting up of users accounts, profiles and dealing with passwords
Learn how to prioritize and manage as many open cases at one time.
Aim to establish a good working relationship with customers and other professionals
Assist with the testing and evaluating of new technology, support the delivery of IT projects as well as the development of solutions and services

You will need to balance many demands so being able to multi-task in a fun but intensive environment where issue prioritization is a critical skill.
A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to integrate within the team in addition to using your initiative are essential

Future Prospects : As well as the chance to receive full on the job training throughout, by the end of the apprenticeship you’ll have gained nationally accredited qualifications as well as English & Maths Functional Skills Level 2.

The company also aim to offer the apprentice a permanent role at the end of the training (subject to successfully completing course and objectives)
Training to be Provided : The Infrastructure Technician Apprenticeship will enable you to gain the relevant knowledge, skills and behaviours to provide first or second line support to internal and external customers and stakeholders to help them be productive when using technology. By the end of the programme, you will be able to set people up on their IT systems and provide support when needed, rectifying issues to maintain colleagues’ and the organisation’s productivity.
Job roles include helpdesk technician, first or second line IT support roles or Network support roles.

As a result, you will receive the following qualification:
Infrastructure Technician (Standard) Level 3
Functional Skills in English and Maths (if required)
MTA Network Fundamentals/CompTIA A+/ CompTIA Network+ professional qualification (Choose one option)
Other Information : Our client has made note to us that there may be possible overtime the Apprentice will have to complete during the role. The successful candidate will also have to under go an Enhanced DBS/CRB check upon accepting of the role.
