Brief Description : Remit Group are recruiting on behalf of our client Traders Warehouse Security Distribution UK. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join them as an Apprentice Technical Support Assistant.

 

Vacancy Detail : Traders Warehouse are a trusted, established name in the security industry, and a growing UK security distributor with 5 branches.

Due to a recent expansion they are now looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Apprentice Technical Support Team Member at their Derby Head Office.

You will be responsible directly to the Technical Support Manager. In time you will be coached to take incoming calls, talking their customers through the setup of their systems over the phone. You will also be responsible for specifying systems for their customers with the help of the Department Manager.

In this role you will be kept up to date with the latest industry technology. You will also have the opportunity to be hands on with hardware, software and networking.

Other duties will include:
-Administration support for the IT Team
-In-house IT support for branch staff
-Assisting the Sales Team with product recommendations
-Updating their website/marketing materials.
Positions Available : 1
Working Week : Mon-Fri 9AM-5PM
Salary : £146.25 Per Week

Personal Qualities : The successful applicant will:
• Have a good working knowledge of Windows operating systems and software including Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Creative suite (Windows 7 experience is a must, whilst Windows Server and Mac OSX experience would be an advantage)
• Have a good telephone manner and visualisation skills to guide customers through system setup over the phone.
• Have the ability to speak face to face with customers as needed
• Be willing to learn about our extensive product range
Skills Required : The following would be an advantage:
• Knowledge of HTML
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange Server
Training to be Provided : The apprenticeship includes a balance of content in technical, business and interpersonal areas, designed to ensure you have an appropriate set of skills to operate in today’s IT and Telecoms job roles. The technical content includes a choice of units for Software Development, Web Development, Technical Support, Telecommunications and Databases. IT, Software, Web & Telecoms Professional Level 3 includes: Level 3 IT Professional Competence Diploma, Level 3 ICT Systems and Principles Diploma, Functional Skills in English, Maths and ICT L2
