Remit Group are recruiting on behalf of Aspen Technologies; a highly successful Microsoft Silver Partner that have been providing IT Support and Solutions in the East Midlands; they're actively looking for an Infrastructure Technician to join their team!

Vacancy Detail

This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically minded individual to join a tight knit team; the role will have the Apprentice providing IT Support to a broad range of SME Customers; you'll also be working to provide support on various technical equipment; including, PC's, Servers, Printers, Infrastructure and Cloud Services!

Reporting to the Support Manager, working in a small office based team. Mentoring by both the Support Manager and a Support Specialist, who himself was a REMIT apprentice 7 years ago!

Daily Duties ? subject to progression of skills and experience:

Taking calls from customers calling for support and generating tickets.
Assessing emailed and portal generated tickets for priority & fault assessment.
Helping to remotely diagnosing faults on customer equipment.
Assist with configuring cloud services.
Dealing with some basic repairs to hardware that comes in to site, such as fitting new hard drives, screens or memory to PCs and laptops etc.
Performing routing checks and updates to systems.
Auditing devices for updates and security flaws.
Rolling out the companies new software or services.
Liaising with multiple suppliers of services and solutions to fix problems.
The possibility of some field installation work with the field engineers.
Possibility of some project implementation work with the Projects team.

Qualifications Required

Ideally you are required to have GCSEs grade A/C - 9/4 in maths, English and ICT or have the equivalent in Functional Skills.

Future Prospects

As well as the chance to receive full on the job training throughout, by the end of the apprenticeship you?ll have gained nationally accredited qualifications as well as English & maths Functional Skills Level 2.

The company are also offering a full, long term position of employment with them upon successful completion of the Level 3.
