Brief Description

Remit Group are recruiting on the behalf of BCA, one of the UK's largest vehicle re-marketing division; their team is now seeking a passionate, computer literate individual to join their ever expanding team as an IT Apprentice

This is a fantastic opportunity to get a foot in the door for a long term career within the IT field with great chances for learning and development alongside a friendly and welcoming team!

Whilst working towards an Industry accredited Level 3 in the IT Professionals' the successful Apprentice will have the chance to get involved with different departments in a role that blends many aspects of IT Support.

Main Responsibilities

? Help to collect and verify requirements for all reporting requests coming from the Auctions Management
? Learn how to create job tickets for the IT developers and learn how to monitor their progress using Microsoft Azure DevOps tool (training will be provided).
? Support communication between the developers, the data analysts, and the end users of the reports and dashboards.
? Develop and perform basic testing of the developed reports and dashboards.
? Support the Operations Data Analyst with the review of all existing reports

The Apprentice will also have the chance to learn on the Agile, Software Development Cycle, Relational Databases, a variety of Microsoft Office Software and various business processes within the Vehicle Re-Marketing sector. There is even opportunities to develop on a variety of tools depending on the successful Apprentices' interest; including, SQL and querying data, R Programming and Database Development.

Qualifications Required

To be considered, you must have at least 5 GCSEs graded A-C/9-4 or above, including English and maths or the equivalents.

Personal Qualities

Strong communication skills, both written and oral - to be able to engage with all stakeholders, at varying level of seniority, across the BCA Remarketing division.
Able to ensure accuracy of requests are fully captured and documented according to stakeholder requirements.
Be able to collate multiple requests and be in a position to regularly update Line Manager on the status of requests received / pending further information / ready for development.
Able to work to deliver work to defined timescales, but also be able to respond quickly to short notice requests, when required, to support the needs of the BCA Remarketing division as and when priorities change.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite ? proficient in using Microsoft Word / Excel / PowerPoint
The right candidate will have an opportunity to take on progressively more responsibilities once they have proven their ability to manage the core aspects of their role. The Remarketing division is at the heart of the BCA business and the opportunity for progression is high for a candidate willing to learn.
Interest in the automotive industry, interested in learning about how the operations of a large UK (FTSE 350) company works, enjoys building relationships with stakeholders, inquisitive to understand how processes work and how they may be improved, interest in data / reporting and how it can support a business in making decisions.

Future Prospects

As well as the chance to receive full on the job training throughout, by the end of the apprenticeship you?ll have gained nationally accredited qualifications as well as English & maths Functional Skills Level 2.

The company are also offering a full, long term position of employment with them upon successful completion of the Level 3.
