Remit Group are recruiting on the behalf of Envisia Learning, a provider of online assessments and development solutions. They are eager to fine an enthusiastic and customer focused Software Development Apprentice to join their Cambourne team!

Vacancy Detail

Envisia Learning work predominantly with consulting companies and their products are used by some of the worlds largest organisations here within the UK and Internationally through their incredibly network of international partners. They operate from their offices within Cambourne in the UK and Los Angeles.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a welcoming and tight knit team of individuals where you're main role will involve you focuses on testing, supporting and ultimately working towards developing online platforms. This role will demand very high attention to detail, strong time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines and sometimes be under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

You'll be required to test applications as part of the build process for clients, whilst working alongside the internal customer service team.
You will need to post any bugs or issues to Envisias' internal systems
You'll be given full training on how to build and test online questionnaires
Work towards the development of customer applications, including coding reports alongside their team of developers
Good communication skills are essential, as the role will require interaction with team members, Envisias' in-house software developers and potentially some clients in support projects they are running.

Qualifications Required

To be considered, you must have at least 5 GCSEs graded A/C or 8/4 or above, including English and maths or the Functional Skills/Key Skills equivalents

Personal Qualities

- You?ll have to have a desire to work within the technical sector and show an eagerness to learn and develop
- Have an enthusiastic, confident and adaptable personality, with a tenacious work ethic and great interpersonal skills
- You?ll need to be incredibly organised, able to work to deadlines and possess the ability to multi-task
- You'll need to have a keen eye for details, both for functional and aesthetic purposes
- Be self-motivated and keen to learn and develop

Skills Required

- You will need to have knowledge and experience in working with either HTML or CSS
- If you are familiar with Ruby or any other web framework, this skill is desirable
- Be able to follow Envisias' security and data protection policies
- The ability to test/troubleshoot various code
- Be able to take personal responsibility of projects
- Keep colleagues updated on various projects and work

Future Prospects

As well as the chance to receive full on the job training throughout, by the end of the apprenticeship you?ll have gained nationally accredited qualifications as well as English & Math's Functional Skills Level 2.

The company are also offering a full, long term position of employment with them upon successful completion of the Level 3
