Harrap Computer Systems are on the search for an outgoing, active individual who?s ready to join their brilliant and fast-growing business as an IT Technician Apprentice. It?s a fantastic chance to kick start your long-term career in the IT field, whilst working towards a recognized Level 3 qualification!
They?re looking for an organised, flexible individual who has an eagerness to learn and who enjoys solving problems, whether that?s solving problems for your friends or something you?ve dabbled with in your spare time, Harrap Computer Systems are eager to hear from you.
As an IT Technician Apprentice, your main roles and responsibilities will include:
? Learning how you can best support the team to assist with varying technical issues.
? Have the chance to learn and experience real world IT issues in their workshop or on-site with a mentor alongside.
? You?ll have to use your initiative to learn alongside other members of the team and you should be able to keep up to date with the latest emerging technologies.
? Gain the relevant experience and skills needed within IT Support, including hardware, software, troubleshooting and more.
? As an Apprentice you won?t be expected to conduct on-site visits on your own until you?re at least half-way into the role. For the first 6 months, you will have a consistent mentor whom you can shadow and learn from before venturing out on your own.

Qualifications Required
? To be considered, you must have at least 5 GCSE?s graded A/C or 9/4 or above, including English and Maths, or the Functional Skills/Key Skills equivalents.
? Due to having to conduct on-site visits, a full driving licence and own transport is desirable.
Personal Qualities
? You?ll need to be incredibly organised, able to work to deadlines and possess the ability to multi-task.
? Possessing excellent communication skills and having a brilliant telephone manner is a must. You should be able to provide consistent and professional customer service.
? You?ll have to have a desire to work within the Technical sector and show an eagerness to learn and develop.
? Have an enthusiastic, confident and adaptable personality, with a tenacious work ethic and great interpersonal skills
Skills Required
? Having a knowledge of general IT Hardware and Software is essential, along with a natural affinity for technology
? A previous experience or interest in working, building or repairing PC?s would be beneficial
? You should have a logical approach to troubleshooting problems, solving technical issues and using your initiative to think outside the box.
? Possess the ability to work within deadlines, whilst maintaining an excellent attitude for providing great customer service.
Future Prospects
As well as the chance to receive full on the job training throughout, by the end of the Apprenticeship you?ll have gained nationally accredited qualifications as well as English & Maths?s Functional Skills Level 2.
The company are also offering a full, long term position of employment with them upon successful completion of the Level 3
