Brief Description
Remit are recruiting on behalf of The Auto Workshop in Birmingham who are looking for a Light Vehicle Technician apprentice to join the team.
Vacancy Detail
You will receive first class training from our Senior Technicians, in all the latest servicing and diagnostic techniques to enable you to better help your customers whether they need a standard service, MOT or wanting an engine rebuild.
Day to day tasks will vary but include:
? Servicing ? carrying out checks
? MOT?s ? identifying parts with wear and tear
? Vehicle Maintenance ? replacing / repairing engine parts
? Diagnostics ? using the latest diagnostic equipment
? Maintaining repair and service records
INDAUTO
Qualifications Required
No previous automotive qualifications are required, but some experience would be an advantage.
Ideally GCSE?s 9 to 3 (A-D) or equivalent in Maths and English.
Personal Qualities
Commitment and enthusiasm are a must and a passion for motor vehicles and physical work would be an advantage.
Skills Required
The job involves numerous activities and technicians will need to be comfortable with a wide range of vehicles.
As a Light Vehicle Technician, you will often be working as part of a team, so good communication and being able to follow instructions would be good skills to have.
Future Prospects
On completion of the apprenticeship programme, you will be fully qualified as a Light Vehicle Mechanic in which you could receive an average salary between ?25,000 and ?35,000 a year.

There is a large gap in the motor trade, where people a crying out for highly skilled Vehicle Technicians.
