Brief Description : Giant iTab have a fantastic opportunity for anyone hungry to start their IT Career.
Qualifications Required : GCSE (C and above) in English and maths (or equivalent).
Vacancy Detail : As Technician apprentice, you will gain excellent exposure supporting Giant iTab's Technical Team to build, repair, development and support their unique products. The role will involve a mixture of Software and Application Development and Hardware support.
Duties will include:
To provide technical support, answering support queries via phone or email
To troubleshoot desktop, system and software problems, diagnose and solve hardware/software incidents/problems
To log all calls on the call logging system and maintain full documentation
Support users specifically in the use and understanding of software, bespoke to Giant iTab by providing training and advice
To install, maintain and support new applications/updates
To liaise if necessary with third party suppliers both hardware & software to resolve issues and assist in the resolution of a client’s request
When required, configure hardware, peripherals to meet client’s specifications and requirements, including installation and updates of third party software
The opportunity to travel Internationally will be a large aspect of this job. An example of one of the locations you will travel to is Barcelona.

Salary : £192.30 Per Week

Training to be Provided : The apprenticeship includes a balance of content in technical, business and interpersonal areas, designed to ensure you have an appropriate set of skills to operate in today’s IT and Telecoms job roles. The technical content includes a choice of units for Software Development, Web Development, Technical Support, Telecommunications and Databases. IT, Software, Web & Telecoms Professional Level 3 includes: Level 3 IT Professional Competence Diploma, Level 3 ICT Systems and Principles Diploma, Functional Skills in English, Maths and ICT L2
Other Information : This is a fast-tracked, advanced Level 3 IT apprenticeship. Some self-study will be required.
