Brief Description

Remit Group are recruiting on behalf of Computer Talk, for an exciting opportunity as a Technical Sales Apprentice. Based in Basildon, Essex, you will have a focus on new business generation whilst servicing a small number of pre-existing accounts.

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a target driven and enthusiastic internal sales person to join their Essex based IT Company.

Previous experience in telephone sales is desirable but not compulsory. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in technology as well as possessing excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong listening skills and the ability to build relationships with customers.

Our client is looking for good levels of self-motivation, confidence, drive, tenacity, creativity and sound planning & organisational skills whilst being comfortable working within a target driven environment.

Your Roles and Responsibilities will include the following:

Maintain an agreed level of pro-active telephone contact with both existing and prospective customers
Develop and Learn how to pro-actively seek new business by targeting a combination of existing customers and prospective customers
Effectively deal with telephone inquiries requesting quotations and product information
Have the chance to create quotations for hardware and services
Learn how to ensure all quotations are followed up when necessary
Attempt to meet and exceed the agreed specific Key Performance Indicators performance objectives
Learn and develop how to maximize sales by continually expanding orders and up selling additional services
Ensure that the external sales team are kept informed of any developments relevant to accounts
Attempt to maintain and expand your database of prospects within the CRM
Work as part of the team to develop and drive the sales strategy

Qualifications Required

GCSE's at grades C/4 and above (or equivalent) in English and maths.

Future Prospects

Future Progression available upon successful completion of the Apprenticeship.

Other Information

Upon successful completion of the 6 month probation period the Apprentices' wage will increase, as outline in the contract.

Once the successful apprentice is offered a full time role with the company, the possibility of commission will be introduced.
