Brief Description : Remit Group are recruiting on the behalf of Advanced IT Services, they have a strong IT direction and are looking for an IT Support Apprentice to work in a varied role within Advanced IT's Data/Telecoms and Installation departments

 

Qualifications Required : GCSE's at grade A*-C (or equivalent), in maths & English.

Your main roles will include

The provision of 1st Line Technical and Operational support to all external client schools and commercial customers
You'll execute help desk tasks and faults ensuring an adequate systems delivery and problem resolution within agreed timescales
You'll be tasked with performing preventative and corrective maintenance of ICT
Perform computer updates and replacements as directed.
You'll need to install and configure all PC workstations and associated software packages as directed.
You will also occasionally assist with the provision of technical support to the company and the school
You will also need to take responsibility for the promoting and safeguarding of welfare of the children and young people within the school

Skills Required : You'll need to have

An experience of using computers, including knowledge of desktop operating systems and hardware
An Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems
An Ability to self-manage own workload and dynamically adapt to changing priorities

Training to be Provided : The Infrastructure Technician Apprenticeship will enable you to gain the relevant knowledge, skills and behaviours to provide first or second line support to internal and external customers and stakeholders to help them be productive when using technology. By the end of the programme, you will be able to set people up on their IT systems and provide support when needed, rectifying issues to maintain colleagues’ and the organisation’s productivity. Job roles include helpdesk technician, first or second line IT support roles or Network support roles. As a result, you will receive the following qualification: Infrastructure Technician (Standard) Level 3 Functional Skills in English and maths (if required)MTA Network Fundamentals/CompTIA A+/ CompTIA Network+ professional qualification (Choose one option)
Things to consider : This is an advanced Level 3 qualification. Some self-study may be required
