Vacancy Detail

This Apprenticeship Programme trains the right candidate to become a qualified Vehicle Parts Advisor. But what does a Vehicle Parts Advisor actually do?

Parts Advisors have lots of responsibilities including the ordering, selling and managing stock control on a wide range of vehicle parts and accessories. Your daily responsibilities will include:
? Advising customers on how to solve a problem with their vehicle
? Taking orders from customers both face to face and over the phone
? Learning the operational aspects of the warehouse, to keep an ordered stock room and find parts from stock locations
? Raising invoices for parts sold
? Working with your team to share the workload
? Working alongside on-site Service Technicians to ensure they have the parts needed to complete their daily work
? As you progress through your apprenticeship, your responsibilities will increase. This will include liaising and negotiating with suppliers.

Customers may include members of the public, service departments of retailers, and garages.

There are no entry requirements to apply, we will support you to develop your skills in English, Maths and ICT.

We want to identify those people that are ambitious and demonstrate a willingness to learn, who are excited by the prospect of working in the automotive industry and want to become experts in their knowledge of Parts.

Skills Required

As an important contact for the customers you will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills. You should have basic IT skills and be able to demonstrate attention to detail in the way you work.

Future Prospects

On successful completion of your apprenticeship you will receive a NVQ Level 2 Certificate along with functional skills in Maths, English and ICT. You could have the opportunity to further progress and work towards a level 3 qualification
