Brief Description : Remit are recruiting for ARC Group - Bristol who have an exciting opportunity in their bodyshop, for an apprentice Vehicle paint technician. You will be mentored by their own fully qualified Senior Vehicle paint Technician in all the latest techniques.

Training will include:
• Damage assessment
• Job cards and assessment reports
• Panel removal, repair and refit
• Chassis alignment techniques
• Welding and joining
• Vehicle valeting

Personal Qualities : You will need to have a high level of attention to detail and working to a high standard to ensure the customer’s car is in safe hands and has been restored to its previous pristine condition.
Skills Required : Good levels of English, Maths and ICT.

Training to be Provided : The role of a vehicle body repair technician involves repairing the panels and structural elements of a vehicle that may have been damaged in a road traffic accident. This could involve hammering out dents, straightening panels or removing and replacing various vehicle parts. The role will involve working closely with vehicle paint technicians, by carrying out the repair the bodywork of a vehicle before it goes to be painted. You may liaise with customers about the work their vehicle requires or the customisation they wish to see on their vehicle. You may also be involved in estimating and working out costs. This is a Vehicle Accident Repair Technician Apprenticeship, delivered by our training partner, Remit Group.
Training is delivered in the workplace and on block release at the Remit Academy in Derby.
This means you will be required to stay in a hotel for 4 separate weeks (Mon – Fri) over the duration of the programme. All associated costs for training are met by the employer and there will be no cost to you.
You will also be assigned a dedicated Development Coach who will visit you every 4-6 weeks at the workplace, giving 1-2-1 information, advice and guidance.

• Functional Skills in English & maths (if required)
• Diploma in Vehicle Accident Body Repair L2

Other Information : An apprenticeship is a great way to bridge the gap between the student and working world.
