Brief Description

The role of the Service Desk Analyst will be providing 1st and 2nd line support for staff across the business. This is an excellent opportunity to progress your career within IT in a varied service desk role where you will work closely with developers.

Vacancy Detail

The ideal Service Desk Analyst will be a customer focused individual who displays initiative as well as a helpful approach to users, staff and the rest of the IT team. All training can be provided to the right applicant.

Responsibilities include-
Providing 1st, and 2nd line support to internal customers.
Taking ownership of user problems and being proactive when dealing with user issues.
Managing incidents, problems and requests with our ticket management system.
Installation and setup of new equipment such as PC?s, Mobiles, Printers and Tablets
Monitoring internal systems.
Raising bugs with the development team.
Following service desk policies and procedures.
Maintaining system documentation.

Supporting a range of technologies including-
Hardware such as PC?s, Mobiles, Printers and Tablets
Active Directory and Office 365
Bespoke Android Applications
Dynamics NAV

Qualifications Required

You will hold at least five GCSEs or equivalent qualifications, including Math's, English and ICT

Personal Qualities

Technically minded
A problem solver
Able to work independently as well as within a team
They will need to have a firm grasp of the English language, both verbal and written

Skills Required

Previous experience is not necessary, but you will be enthusiastic and motivated to learn and to develop a career within IT
You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to work under pressure, with the ability to priorities and be organized
You will be a good team player, have excellent client care skills and be computer literate

Other Information

Travelling to and from the workplace.
Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
