Brief Description : NRG Fleet are looking for a motivated individual to join their existing heavy vehicle technicians.
Qualifications Required : Ideally GCSE 9 to 3 (A-D) or equivalent in Maths and English. However you will need to complete initial assessments in English, Maths and ICT.
Vacancy Detail : The Heavy Vehicle Apprenticeship responsibilities will include:
• Servicing vehicles
• Repairing and replacing faulty parts and components
• Advising customers about the repairs that are required
• Producing time estimates
• Maintaining repair and service records

Working Week : 40 hours, 8.30am – 5.00pm, Monday - Friday with 30 minutes for lunch
Salary : £246.00 Per Week

Personal Qualities : You will need to have a high level of attention to detail and working to a high standard to ensure the customer’s Heavy Vehicle is in safe hands and has been restored to its previous pristine condition.
Skills Required : To become a Heavy Vehicle Technician, you will need to demonstrate:
• Excellent practical skills
• The ability to work quickly but also pay attention to detail
• The ability to work well in a team and on your own
• Good communication skills
• The ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Training to be Provided : This is a Heavy Vehicle Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship Standard, delivered by our training partner, Remit Group. Training is delivered in the workplace and on block release at the Remit Academy in Derby. This means you will be required to stay in a hotel for 4 separate weeks (Mon – Fri) over the duration of the programme. All associated costs for training are met by the employer and there will be no cost to you. You will also be assigned a dedicated Development Coach who will visit you every 4-6 weeks at the workplace, giving 1-2-1 information, advice and guidance. As a result, you will receive the following qualification: Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician (Heavy Vehicle) Level 3, F Gas air conditioning qualification.
