Vacancy description
Main duties will include:

Answering incoming calls
Update lists, processes, checklists and databases efficiently
Site visits when required
Attend events where necessary
Opening and closing up the office
Covering other members of staff as requested
The provision of first line technical and operational support to all external client schools and commercial customers
Execute Helpdesk tasks and faults, ensuring adequate systems delivery and problem resolution within agreed timescales
Performing preventative and corrective maintenance of ICT
Performing computer updates and replacements as directed
The installation and configuration of all PC workstations and associated software packages as directed
Occasionally assisting with the provision of technical support to the school
Taking responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of the children and young people in school

Training to be provided
Infrastructure Technician apprenticeship standard level 3
English/maths Functional Skills if applicable
Full on the job training will be provided to meet role requirements

Training to be Provided : The Infrastructure Technician Apprenticeship will enable you to gain the relevant knowledge, skills and behaviours to provide first or second line support to internal and external customers and stakeholders to help them be productive when using technology. By the end of the programme, you will be able to set people up on their IT systems and provide support when needed, rectifying issues to maintain colleagues’ and the organisation’s productivity. Job roles include helpdesk technician, first or second line IT support roles or Network support roles. As a result, you will receive the following qualification: Infrastructure Technician (Standard) Level 3 Functional Skills in English and maths (if required)MTA Network Fundamentals/CompTIA A+/ CompTIA Network+ professional qualification (Choose one option)

After successfully completing the apprenticeship, there is an opportunity for your contract to be made permanent or extended.
