Vacancy Detail
Cordwallis Group is a family-owned business that was established in 1971 and has grown steadily over the years, with Volkswagen Van, MAN Truck and Isuzu Truck franchises covering the London & Thames Valley areas. You will be working with Cordwallis at their Volkswagon Van branch in Feltham, being trained to a high standard. They are looking for a motivated individual who will share their customer focused beliefs.
You will receive first class training in all the latest servicing and diagnostic techniques to enable you to better help your customers whether they need a standard service, MOT or wanting an engine rebuild.
Day to day tasks will vary but include:
? Health & Safety
? Servicing i.e carrying out checks on various components such as Wear Indicators, or checking breaking systems
? Vehicle Maintenance ? replacing / repairing engine parts
? Steering and Suspension systems
? Diagnostics ? using the latest diagnostic equipment to detect faults when vehicles have issues such as poor performance or using too much fuel
? Maintaining repair and service records
Qualifications Required
Good levels of English and Math's is beneficial.
Personal Qualities
You will need to have a high level of attention to detail and working to a high standard to ensure the customer?s car is in safe hands and has been restored to its previous pristine condition.
Skills Required
A keenness to learn and develop, motivation to work hard and good problem solving are all skills of a good Light Vehicle Technician

Light Vehicle Technicians have average earnings of between ?20,000 - ?30,000 per annum, with some experience behind them once qualified. This apprenticeship is a great way to get you hands on, practical experience and allow you to become qualified at the same time.
