Brief Description
Drake's Garage have an exciting opportunity in their bodyshop, for an apprentice paint sprayer. You will be mentored by their own fully qualified Senior Paint Technician in all the latest techniques.
Vacancy Detail
Once the body repair technicians have worked their magic repairing the vehicle, it will then be your job to restore the vehicles paint work back to its former glory.
This involves:
? Preparation ? stripping, sanding and masking
? Etching and priming areas to be treated
? Colour matching and mixing
? Paint application techniques including spray booth technology
? Buffing and polishing methods
? Paint defect corrections.
Qualifications Required
No formal qualifications are needed, although a good standard of numeracy and literacy would be an advantageous.
Skills Required
You will need to have a high level of attention to detail with a clear positive attitude to work.
Future Prospects
On completion of the apprenticeship programme, you will be fully qualified as a Vehicle Paint Technician in which you could receive an average salary between ?15,000 to ?30,000a year.
