Brief Description

Remit are happy to be hiring for a Project Information Coordinator with GMI Construction to complete the Level 3 Business Admin Apprenticeship. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating of their Divisions Information Management systems: Viewpoint for Projects, Field view, SharePoint, Operating Framework and Email Management.

Roles & Responsibilities:
• Reporting to the Divisional Information Manager within their Division
• QA Checking drawings/documents in line with GMI’s naming protocol on Viewpoint
• Monitoring the status of documentation through the workflows and chase outstanding information when necessary
• Ensuring that GMI staff / Clients / Consultants / Subcontractors are following GMI’s protocol when using Viewpoint for Projects i.e Marking up / Using the RFI tool etc.
• Ensuring compliance with Field view, SharePoint, Operating Framework and Email Management protocols.
• Dealing with queries / issues from GMI Site staff / Clients / Consultants / Subcontractors.
• Training GMI Site Staff / Clients / Consultants / Subcontractors on the various sites in Information Management
• Auditing SharePoint / Field View and Viewpoint for Projects and producing detailed Project Reports for Divisional Management Meetings
• Audit log of access requests through the Ticketing System
• Providing holiday / sickness cover to the other Divisions.
• Advising site teams on the correct storage of all documentation on SharePoint in accordance with the company’s information management policy and guidelines.
• Regular site visits in their relevant Divisions to support the site teams. Travel required to other Divisions as and when needed.
• Coordinating Field View for the various sites, setting up Geometry, drawing calibrations, creating processes. Training will also be required for GMI Site Staff and Subcontractors on system use.
• Monitoring the project email inboxes for site projects in accordance with the company’s information management policy and guidelines.

Qualifications Required

• Educated to o/GCSE level standard or equivalent including English and Maths.

Personal Qualities

• Proactive with a high degree of self-sufficiency who can prioritise, multitask and are comfortable with changing priorities.
• Hard working; can work well in a team and on own initiative.
• Communicate clearly and concisely with strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Reliable, have good attendance with flexibility to travel across all GMI locations.

Skills Required

• Willingness and ability to learn new technology and software packages.
• Good written and communication of English
• Advanced ability to use Microsoft packages i.e word, excel, outlook and teams.
• Full Driving Licence required.
• An understanding of ISO 19650 and ISO 27001

Future Prospects

After successful completion of the Level 3 Apprenticeship, there is the potential for the Apprentice to stay with the company long-term.
