Brief Description

This apprenticeship is the Level 3 Vehicle Damage Paint Technician standard program. with our fantastic client at Redditch-B98 8YN. As an apprentice, you will learn how to spray, and repaint bodywork using specialist techniques with traditional tools and the latest equipment.

Vacancy Detail

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team at Redditch to embark on a career in the entertainment & event logistics industry as an Apprentice Vehicle Damage Paint Technician.

• Preparing paint spraying equipment
• Preparing the bodywork of the vehicle.
• Mix paint by eye or using computer technology to ensure the best color match
• Applying several coats to the car, including primers, colors, and protective finishes.
• Solving paint application problems; defects, causes and cures
• Maintaining and cleaning equipment.
• Storing paints in the correct conditions.

A certain amount of administration and customer interaction is also required:
• Keeping a record of work carried out and time taken
• 40 hour week with flexibility required on working hours
• Full training and support provided, with experienced mentor on hand at all times.
• Learning from the ground up on how to paint & repair trailers, refrigeration and tractor units.
• Learning and assisting with vehicle inspections
• Assisting the qualified technicians in vehicle repairs

Hourly Wage: £6.00 (first Year, increases YOY)

Qualifications Required

No formal qualifications required but a natural interest and passion for vehicle mechanics essential.

English reading and writing in addition to basic mathematical skills required.- Grades - 4 /C

Skills Required

Please be aware that you would be using specialist equipment like spray guns along with various masks and breathing apparatus, it is important that Paint technicians always use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety procedures for using hazardous material
